Dead girls can dance

It all started with the girl jumping.  I always thought it was a cute picture.  Then I just haaaad to go and add that skull to her face.  I created the circular design with a little patience and some brushwork in Photoshop.  Since the girl and the skull were a lower resolution, I added a halftone to clean them up a bit, plus I liked how it looked.

I found this skull on the internet the got busy with warp, distort, and skew in Photoshop.

Can we start again?

This was the second attempt at a flyer for this show.  I wasn't happy with the first one because the text was all jumbled up at the bottom and there was a lot of empty space at the top.  The drawing of the boy screaming is actually a small doodle I did a few years ago.  I saw it in my sketch book when I was working on this poster and it worked perfectly, as far as I'm concerned.  By the way, I did NOT design the arrows by Strike Anywhere's name or the Bane logo.

You can't kill a dead man

This is a mock, just like the text in the image says, of Shephard Fairey's work on the Brother's Keeper "Fantasy Killer" album cover.  I took a photo of my friend Bobby, converted it to black and white, then started breaking down the shading in Photoshop to get the colors set up as close to the original as I could.  Fortunately, I had gotten the fonts from Shephard himself shortly after this album came out.  Don't take that as me saying that I know him, because I don't.  He's just a nice guy.
